Mr. Kayode Falowo is the group managing director/CEO of Greenwich Trust Limited.
He is a chartered stockbroker with over 29 years’ post-graduate experience and practice in finance, especially in commercial and investment banking.
He holds a B.Sc. (Hons) in agricultural engineering from the University of Ife (now Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife), an MBA from the University of Benin, and a diploma in information management.
He has attended numerous workshops and seminars, which include the International Management Programme and Chief Executive Programme at the Lagos Business School and financial training at the IESE Business School in Barcelona, Spain.
Mr. Olutoyin Okeowo is a graduate of the University of Wales Institute of Science and Technology (UWIST), where he obtained a master’s degree in management science and technology.
He was a lecturer in the faculty of business administration, University of Lagos before resigning to join the family business in 1986.
He is the chairman of Cedar Express Limited, Oasis Insurance PLC, Daewoo Autoland Nigeria Limited, Mitob Ventures Limited, and TMJ Properties Limited and is the managing director/chief executive officer of Metropolitan Motors Limited (an accredited dealer of Toyota brand vehicles in Nigeria).
Mr. Okeowo sits on the board of many companies, including Mainland Trust LTD (a member of the Nigerian Stock Exchange), VT Leasing LTD, Equipment Leasing Association of Nigeria, DN Meyer PLC, and Funds & Electronic Transfer Solutions Limited
He is an alumnus of Lagos Business School and a former member of the Governing Council of the Alumni Association.
Mr. Adewale Adegbite is currently the group managing director of Oasis Group Limited.
He is an accountant who previously worked at KPMG UK, Accenture Nigeria, and NBM Bank PLC (now part of Sterling Bank Nigeria PLC) before joining the Oasis Group.
He is presently on the board of AIICO Pension Managers Limited, GTL Registrars Limited, and Cedar Express Limited.
He is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW), an associate of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN), and chairman of Manufacturers Association of Nigeria (Ogun State Branch).
He graduated with a first-class honors degree from the University of Sheffield and obtained a master’s degree from London School of Economics (LSE).
Mr. Uponi is the principal partner and head of chambers of Marriot Solicitors, a firm of legal practitioners and notaries public based in Lagos.
Mr. Tony Uponi graduated with a bachelor of laws (LL.B. Hons) degree from the University of Benin in 1986 and immediately proceeded to the Nigerian Law School where he graduated with second-class honors, upper-division degree in 1987 and was accordingly called to the Nigerian Bar in October of the same year.
Over the past 28 years, he has been fully engaged in active legal practice, which began with the firm Umeh T.C. Umeh & Co located in Abuja until December 1989.
Then, from 1990 to 1991, he pursued a postgraduate program leading to the award of a master of laws (LL.M.) degree (with a specialization in company law) from the University of Lagos.
Upon completion of his postgraduate program, Mr. Uponi established the law firm of Tony Uponi & Co. (now called Marriot Solicitors) where he has been the principal partner since 1992.
He is registered as a Capital Market Consultant by the Securities & Exchange Commission. Mr. Uponi is a member of the Institute of Directors and presently acts as a director in some reputable companies.
Morenike Adebayo holds a law degree from Sussex University and was called to the Nigerian Bar in the year 2006.
She then pursued a postgraduate program leading to the award of LL.M. Law (Hons) from King’s College London between 2009 and 2010.
Morenike Adebayo is currently the managing attorney of Silvax Legal, the brainchild of Angela Morenike Adebayo. The company was borne out of clients’ demand for cost-effective, fast, and efficient legal filings services in an industry where services such as these are not the priority.
Between 2008 and 2009, Ms. Adebayo worked as a solicitor at Aluko & Oyebode where she handled large intellectual property portfolios for both international and Nigerian clients (including The Coca-Cola Company, GlaxoSmithKline, and Nokia).
Also, she was a foreign legal consultant at A. Williams & Co. (Solicitors) in London where she carried out legal research on an array of different transactions.
Morenike worked as a solicitor at Bentley Edu & Co. in association with Irving & Bonnar where she headed the Intellectual Property Law Department between 2010 and 2012.
Lawal Sani Stores
Lawal Sani Stores holds an MBA in Finance and Investment from Bayero University and HND in Business Studies from West Bromwich College of Commerce and Technology England. He has over 30 years work experience with exposure to operations of Nigerian Capital Market at various levels both at home and internationally.
Lawal Sani Stores worked with the Nigerian Stock Exchange from 1981 to 2001 and left as a Deputy General Manager. He joined the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) in 2001 a Deputy Director and subsequently rose to become a Director, he was appointed as an Executive Commissioner of Finance and Administration at SEC.
He has attended various leadership courses and has served in various Capital Market Committee.
Prior to joining GTL Trustees, Omobola doubled as the Group Company Secretary and Head Corporate Counsel and Compliance of the Greenwich Trust Group where she oversaw the legal, compliance and company secretariat responsibilities of all the companies within the Group. Specific responsibilities included implementation and institutionalization of governance frameworks, human resource frameworks, core team member in mergers and acquisitions, compliance, and regulatory issues. She previously served in the same Group as the Group Executive Human Resource and Admin.
Omobola worked as the Assistant Company Secretary and Senior Legal Officer of Cityscape Plc, and in that position oversaw the legal activities of the over 13 subsidiaries of the Company. She additionally worked as a Legal Consultant in CPCS Transcom.
With over 15 years of post-call working experience in corporate, commercial legal practice, investment banking and Financial Advisory services, Omobola is a member of the Nigerian Bar Association and the Society of Corporate Governance of Nigeria. She is an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Secretaries and Administrators of Nigeria and a member of the Chartered Institute of Secretaries and Administrators England’s and Wales. She holds an, LL. B (Hons) degree from the University of Ilorin and Bachelor of Law degree from the Nigerian Law School.
